TORAH NOTES (Old Testament/New Testament)
Solidarity of Nazarene Yahwists on specific Bible Terms and Designations, Words, etc.
There are not many Yahwists in our wide world as yet, but our place in History is assisting and participating in the great honor to be witnesses to "a great multitude" from out of the Last Days time of "the Image of the Beast." And these honored souls are not having too much trouble with Jezebel as yet, though you know it can happen, if there were a solid church for her to infiltrate. But there isn't, so this lack of solidarity remains yet a blessing, that all of us may yet enjoy Saving Bible Truth free from being accosted by that olde harlot.
We DO NOT ENJOY MUCH SOLIDARITY within our scattered ranks, that is one of the reasons I enjoy them, but because of this, fellowship can be a challenge. They make the same mistakes everyone else makes, thinking their view of Holy Writ is more precise than others, forgetting sometimes, that, as according to Paul, some of us are one-extension or limb of the body, and others are other-limbs or extensions of the body of Christ, nevertheless we all, imbued with the holy Spirit of Elohim from baptism, are of the entire body, just different individuals with different CALLINGS and OUTREACHES, and so forth. Unfortunately this topic is imbued with much passion, understandably, but that is no good reason to stumble.
The good news is mostly all of us Yahwists are aware of Sun Worship-paganism, and have wholly rejected it. I like that. And these are doing a pretty good job of exposing it, and exposing the Jezebel Temple of the Sun.
One major trouble with their lack of solidarity comes from simple oversights that are easily overcome without passion's inhibitions, mostly impatience and language difficulties.
My first concern is the confusion surrounding the term or word, TORAH, which, depending upon WHOM you are talking to, can mean just about anything, and to query some on the topic of the meaning of that word, can exacerbate the problem and for no good reason we may lose a cherished Yahwist friend. I only can say to all who are not ashamed to call themselves Christians, and who have Yah's imbued holy Spirit of Elohim within them evidently, which is our Grace; please, wait for the Spirit to show you what is the Saving Truth in the Matter, as all things will be revealed to us in due course if we hold to the patience and faith of Abraham.
Another is, some will disdain the term "Christian," which I believe is one of those simple oversights, as we should not allow feaux Churchianity to hijack this perfectly honest and legitimate intellectual term and identifying classification honorably given us by historical Greeks (even prophesied by holy writ) simply because of our tradition of immersion or baptism, which is what the Greek word Khristos means (ORIGIN=Old English Crīst, from Latin Christus, from Greek Khristos, noun use of an adjective meaning ‘anointed,’ from khriein ‘anoint,’ translating Hebrew māšīaḥ ‘Messiah.’)= anointed by immersion in water. I do not take the abandonment of sound, useful and legitimate words lightly. Next thing you know the Pope will declare all Yahwists Catholic, and then must we drop that term also? Must we allow liars and frauds to disrupt our freedom of speech, by their hypocritical sophistries? But rather perhaps we might take advantage of controversial situations, as opportunities to further our El-inspired testimony.
And another situation not addressed is some Yahwists tend to be fussy not just about terminology but about Much Religiosity. This is a pitfall for some Jewish-related mentalities; we, as Yahwists, our not enjoying much solidarity in all aspects of our faith, may have trouble differentiating between what is an outward appearance from what is the inward. I would really hope I could clear this matter up here, not just for them but for all my fellow Christian Nazarenes who might neglect to take the sacred name witness seriously simply because off some folks' tendency to Much Religiosity, or themselves to fall into the trap of religiosity, unawares. In fact Much Religiosity can tend to hypocrisy which under the 3rd Commandment, just so happens to be hypocrisy, as Satan well knows. And in fact any red herring by Satan's devices leading to UNsaving Truth, always leads to some sort of failure in our honor for at least one or many of Yahweh's Ten Commandments, such is Satan's fixation it seems, to cause us all to fail in our Quest for Life & Truth, one way or another. Failure to understand the necessity to adhere to Saving Truth in all matters, even with the unfailing Grace of the holy Elohim, is not conducive to our Survival in Yahweh's amazing Celestial Reality.

Messianic? Christian? Nazarene? Yahwist? take your pick!
What to Call a New Testament Believer?
Christian, or Nazarene, or Messianic, or Yahwist?
Some monotheistic Yahwist Christians may like to dismiss the term "Christian" in an attempt to disassociate themselves from Trinitarian Christendom and it's much religiosity and hypocritical dogma. Sometimes because they have taken the sacred names as well, these prefer to refer to differentiate themselves as "Messianics." But the question remains, what goes, here, really? What is in a name?
So let us examine this topic, with due respect to holy writ (asv-translated from Westcott/Hort):
Now in the Greek, the word "Christian" is derived from "kristos", and means "anointed" or "immersed" (in water); thus the Greeks called Nazarenes "Christians", meaning those who were the Immersed (or Baptized which means the same thing). It is not apparent what is the Aramaic term for "immersed" or immersion/baptism, at this time for me, which term is indicated below in the earliest body of Messiah.
Below are the NT scriptures that define what it is we holy writ says we shall be called:
40N 2:23; ...and came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets, that he should be called a Nazarene. (anyone?, I looked, can't find it in the OTasv/kjv, still I trust, here)
41N 1:24; saying, What have we to do with thee, Yahshua thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee, who thou art, the Holy One of God.
42N 4:34; Ah! what have we to do with thee, Yahshua thou Nazarene? art thou come to to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
41N 10:47; And when he heard that it was Yahshua the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, Yahshua, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
41N 14:67; and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and saith, Thou also wast with the Nazarene, Yahshua.
41N 16:6; And he saith unto them, Be not amazed: ye seek Yahshua, the Nazarene, who hath been crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold, the place where they laid him!
42N 24:19; And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, The things concerning Yahshua the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
44N 11:26; and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they were gathered together with the church, and taught much people, and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
44N 24:5; For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
44N 26:28; And Agrippa [said] unto Paul, With but little persuasion thou wouldest fain make me a Christian. (same usage in Lamsa's Aramaic Peshitta)
60N 4:16; but if [a man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name (Yahshua).
With due respect to holy writ, therefore; For Yahwist Nazarenes it remains appropriate to refer to themselves as Nazarenes, and as Christians too; we need not be ashamed of this term "Christian" whom the nations have dubbed us to be, "immersed" which we are, Immersed into the Faith of the Nazarene, which term the NT. actually identifies as a name commonly attributed to us even in the times of the Early Rain, long before Romanism hijacked the term. To be called a Christian is therefore not unacceptable before Yahweh, having been acknowledged by this second Witness (New Testament).
If you have been "immersed" in the Faith of the Nazarene, you are a Christian; furthermore, if you subscribe to and embrace this true Faith of the Nazarene, you are indeed a Nazarene, besides a Christian. And if you have also taken the sacred names to your heart, and are happy to have them, and testify by these, you are a Yahwist. That is just semantics: SEMANTICS |səˈmantiks| .... plural noun [ usu. treated as sing. ] ~ the branch of linguistics and logic concerned with meaning. There are a number of branches and subbranches of semantics, including formal semantics, which studies the logical aspects of meaning, such as sense, reference, implication, and logical form, lexical semantics, which studies word meanings and word relations, and conceptual semantics, which studies the cognitive structure of meaning. •••• the meaning of a word, phrase, sentence, or text: such quibbling over semantics may seem petty stuff.
With due respect to the Above, I am indeed a Christian, even though I have taken the sacred names and believe in the Ten Commandments (torah=law). This is a term given us by others not of this faith.
It works for StarNet.
Some take inapplicable terms and apply them to themselves whether or not they are indeed applicable.
We can't learn everything all at once, Salvation is a process, we are all "a work in progress" to the holy Spirit. Embracing Messiah, it is inevitable we will be introduced to the whole shebang, but not all at once, lest we be discouraged.
What some might not realize is that Protestant Trinitarian Christianity is NOT truly "Christian", but paganized by Romanizers given to Sun/Nature worship, even in the 1st century. Romanism is NOT Christian at all, but is entirely pagan from stem to stern, but with a sprinkling of biblical rhetoric so as to appear as if Christian: Romanism does not subscribe to Resurrection, but to Regeneration/Reincarnation (why Popes have to die before giving up their papal seat of power, to allow for the "incarnation" of the deity into the next cardinal-elect pope). Therefore Trinitarian Christendom as a Collective officially embracing Romanism, has no truly LITERAL claim to this New Testament designation of "Christian" OR "Nazarene", being offshoots of Romanism which is not Christian or Nazarene, but actually is the Antithesis of such, hence the term "AntiChrist". Nevertheless, any Trinitarian Christian individual who has been "immersed" in water, after the fashion of the true Nazarene faith, may claim this designation as they please, as it is just a word and means "immersed" in water (not sprinkled over a baptismal fount), and anyone who is thus immersed, can rightfully claim this literal designation for themselves. This fact becomes a problem for some Yahwists who want to differentiate themselves from the negative influences of Romanism in it's variant forms. But it is not insurmountable.
About the term "Messianic" which is a modern substitute for the traditional NT designations of "Christian" and "Nazarene": "Messianic" is similar to but not actually the same word as "Christian": the term "Messianic" is originally from Judaism, and means "anointed by Yah". This term is not confined to Judaism and can be applicable to NT Nazarenes, but it is not the same word as "Immersed" even as in the Times of Judah, being "anointed" by Yahweh was a different sort of procedure than the notable "immersion" of Nazarene Christians.
Still, there is nothing wrong with it's usage for Nazarenes who may want to differentiate themselves from Trinitarian Christendom. The problem with using this term for this end, creates another necessity, even to differentiate oneself from Judaizers who are literally hijacking the sacred name movement and are using this term, but negating "Christian" or "Nazarene" in order to separate themselves from other true Nazarenes.
Therefore StarNet sometimes hesitates to use this term (Messianic) publicly, not having a need to differentiate ourselves from New Testament Christian & Pauline Nazarenes, and desiring to preserve the sacred name movement for Christian & Pauline Nazarenes who adopt these sacred names and to whom I sometimes refer to not as "Messianic" but as "YAHWIST" which simply identifies us as monotheist sacred name users, whereas "Messianic" does not. Furthermore, to add "Jew" to the term "Messianic", is only repetitive, as Judaism is intrinsically Messianic. Thus when one says "Messianic Jew", one may as well be saying "Jew Jew". heh....
Besides the which, being somewhat Pauline, StarNet contends that usage of the term "Messianic Jew", or "Jew Jew" (I just say "Messianics"), is not only repetitive, but differs somewhat with Pauline theology in that Paul states there is "no longer Jew nor Gentile", but we are all simply Nazarenes. Thus "JewJew" or "MessianicJew" can easily be reduced to simply "Messianic", solving the problem entirely: no more is it redundant, no more is it repetitive, no more is it racial or status oriented. The New Covenant Faith of the Nazarene, having been given to Gentiles through Paul, is for all Nations, we who are "grafted" into the body of Messiah, and are "Spiritual Jews". There is no longer Jew nor Gentile, because this is a New Covenant, without respect to race or gender or status, in which all are of equal authority and autonomy without regard to race/gender/worldly status. In fact there is absolutely NO Rank & Status in the New Jerusalem, and the New Earth.
Here, StarNet tends to avoid usage of this term "Messianic" only because I don't want to have Pauline Christian Nazarenes identify us with the multitudinous Yahwist "Judaizers", and thus discourage these precious "newborns" in their Opportunity to knowledgably embrace these wonderful and ancient SAVING sacred names of Father & Son, without the imposition of the Much Religiosity often associated with Judaizing Christianity. Still, this term "Messianics" is literally correct and appropriate for any Nazarene, and I use it frequently elsewhere.
When one is concerned about identification with other than Paulines (such as in the case of Judaism which is indeed a Messianic religion as well, but still anticipating Messiah; not yet recognizing the Nazarene as Messiah-until they hear it acknowledged by their first Rabbi) this term therefore may seem inappropriate for Nazarenes because of a collective denial of Yahshua the Nazarene. Still, anyone who subscribes to and embraces Judaism can only be termed "Messianic", whether they know it or not, because Judaism is Messianic from stem to stern, in their anticipation of Messiah. Still, this term is applicable to Nazarenes also.
The above are simply TERMS used. It is good to know what they mean and how to use these terms correctly so as to leave no confusion. As Babylon is Confusion, thus we must Come Out of Her, even to Come Out of Confusion, by Way of Truth, All Truth, and ultimately Saving Truth.
StarNet therefore advocates all these terms for Nazarenes: Yahwist Christian, Messianic, and Yahwist Nazarene, with due respect to Holy Writ and the order of Truth, and the company you keep. StarNet wants to help Christians/Messianics/Nazarenes to empower themselves in their Christian faith, by not allowing others of differing ilks, to rob us of these useful and biblically appropriate terms necessary for the identification of who and what we are and believe.
The bottom line here is, for any Nazarene, after having received the holy Spirit of the Mighty El, within us, upon baptism into this "peculiar faith" of this exalted Nazarene, that "not one of us will be plucked from my hand" (saith Yahshua), thus are we "acceptable" because of our FAITH by which means we enable the holy Elohim to establish His holy Spirit with it's Saving Truth in our minds and hearts, causing us to "Overcome, to the End". The first and most important Act of Faith, in order to establish ourselves in Life & Truth, is the realization and application of the sacred and saving names of these holy Elohim, Yahweh and His Son, Yahshua: even that we may not just disassociate ourselves from paganism, but become legitimate Heirs to the Inheritance of Yahweh dispensed in His son Yahshua; and embracing our inheritance promised in our Father's name, and in the Saving name of His Son Yahshua, will we overcome all obstacles set in our path by the UNholy Elohim and their leader, the charismatic and seductive Adversary of Yahweh, Satan.
